Kathy Grufik is a lifelong Tulsan. She grew up dancing and performing in Tulsa’s theatre community and still enjoys performing today. She is so proud to be a first generation “Clarkie”, growing up in the Clark Youth Theatre program until she graduated high school. She then transitioned into a Clark instructor. Kathy has her degree in Elementary Education/Early Childhood and has consistently worked as a local dance teacher/musical theatre choreographer. For the past 24 years, she has choreographed over 30 musicals for local theatres and schools, and taught children’s dance classes for local studios. Kathy has taught tap, jazz, ballet, and hip-hop, specializing in musical theatre movement and dance. In recent years, Kathy and her husband Terry independently produced and directed 2 different musicals for teens and hope to do more in the future!
Bailey Grufik is a junior at the University of Tulsa majoring in Business Management with a minor in dance, working towards her goal of one day opening her own dance and performing arts studio. Bailey started dancing at the age of 3. In 6th grade, she started dancing at That’s Dancing, where she is currently on staff and assists with the dance company. She competed with their award winning dance company and was a student teacher until she finished her senior year of high school. Bailey has trained in Tap, Jazz, Ballet, Hip-Hop, Musical Theatre, Lyrical, Modern and Contemporary. She also participates in numerous musicals around the Tulsa area. She has been a dance teacher at Clark Youth Theatre camps since 2014. Bailey has coached many dancers individually around the Tulsa area and would love to help you with your specific dance needs!
Tammy spent most of her early life singing, dancing, performing in theatre and competing in pageants. Some favorite credits include Lady Katherine in the operetta The Vagabond King, Claudia in Brownstone, Maria in West Side Story, Tuptim in The King and I, and a fun summer as Laurey in Oklahoma! at the Edinburgh Theatre Festival in Scotland. She has performed in theme parks, Las Vegas, traveled with a regional rock band at age 14, and is a two time first runner-up to Miss Oklahoma as well as an accomplished vocal coach. More recently, she has served with Sara Phoenix as Music Director for the first two Theatre Tulsa Broadway Bootcamps – Once On This Island and Children’s Letters to God. Tammy loves working with children; she is President of Clark Youth Theatre, Inc., and is constantly inspired by the creativity and talent of Tulsa’s youth, and the inclusiveness of Tulsa’s theatre community. Since marrying Jim (21 years, people!), she has divided her time between leading worship, an occasional vocal arrangement consult (including Miss America 2008), and home educating their three amazing kids, Parker, Preston and Madeline.
Tiffany Wright is a graduate from Oklahoma State University, where she received a degree in Vocal Performance. Tiffany has been teaching private vocal lessons for several years, and teaches Vocal Music for Clark Youth Theatre summer camps. She has performed at prestigious places such as the Lincoln Center in New York, as well as Europe and France. She has performed in numerous operas, including Le nozze di Figaro, Die Fledermaus, and L’elisir D’amore. She also has a strong background in musical theatre, performing roles such as Carlotta in The Phantom of the Opera and Joy, an ugly stepsister in Cinderella. She is a strong advocate of music education, and is of the belief that everyone can sing. Tiffany specializes in teaching proper vocal technique, in both classical and musical theatre styles.
