Clark Conservatory

Clark Conservatory began in 2016 to meet the needs of our eldest performers. Our 15-18 year olds wanted to be challenged and respected as the young artists they had become. It was clear that their desire to grow had exceeded what Clark was offering them, and thus the Conservatory was born.

Clark Conservatory offers students the opportunity to be a working artist in a fully functioning theatre company. Our students are mentored by award-winning, industry professionals, but all company members are equals – student artists work side by side with adults artists with full respect and trust. Clark Conservatory offers a more complete acting training, anchored in the belief that growth as an actor and growth as a human being are synonymous. Students gain tools and techniques to better engage their imagination, analyze text deeply and accurately, and to create rich, specific characters.

In our 2019-2020 season, Clark Conservatory expanded to include Clark Graduates and trusted members of the theatre community in Tulsa.

Clark Conservatory will perform as part of Clark’s season each year and offers:

  • smaller cast productions
  • complex material
  • intern opportunities as lighting designers and board operators, sound design, costume design and construction, stage management, teaching, directing and in arts management

The Conservatory is a fantastic way to build resumes for college applications and on-the-job training that will put students ahead of their peers in this competitive field.
