Fall 2017 Class Schedule

Classes are taught by industry professionals and are open to anyone regardless of skill level. Enrollment is open NOW! Clark Youth Theatre offers online enrollment – simply download the form below and email to clarkyouththeatre@gmail.com. Your spot will be secured once we have received your form. Please be patient, as there are limited office hours through Sept 6. We will contact you via phone to process payment no later than the first day of class. If you have questions or would like to register on-site, just call (918) 746-5065 for building hours.

Pre-Teen Saturday Pass

Saturdays, cost is $170. Ages 8-12.

 

Pre-Teen Laughing Matter Improv

Taught by Erin Scarberry

This class teaches Pre-Teen performers comic improv games to increase creativity, teamwork and performance skills.

Saturdays, September 9-December 9 (no class Oct 28 or Nov 25), 10:00 a.m.-11:30 a.m.

Cost is $70 or Pre-Teen Saturday Pass. Ages 8-12.

 

The Storybook Series

Taught by Tiffany Wright

Clark Youth Theatre is excited to offer theatre for Young Audiences through The Storybook Series. Students enrolled in Storybook will use class time to rehearse and prep for Storybook Series performances throughout the season. Students can gain performance experience and perform their favorite books on our stage for adoring young theatre-goers! There will be at least one public performance each semester; for dates please see our season brochure.

Musical Theatre Performance

Taught by Cody McCoy

Cultivate your skills as a vocalist and dancer through musical theatre performance! Students will focus on singing, dancing and acting fundamentals with strong emphasis on vocal and dance techniques. The class will workshop songs from modern and classic musical theatre.

Short Films & Viral Marketing

Taught by Peyton Grufik & John Cruncleton

Students will collaborate on the writing and execution of commercials, short films, and photography. All materials created will be used by Clark Youth Theatre for television, print and web promotion.

Saturdays, September 9-December 9 (no class Oct 28 or Nov 25), 10:00a.m.-11:30a.m. Cost is $50 or Teen Saturday Pass. Ages 13-18.

 

Teen Laughing Matter Improv

Teen Workshop Hour

Facilitated by Erin Scarberry

Teen artists who wish to take a more serious approach to their theatrical studies are invited to participate in Clark’s Teen Workshop Hour. Course content and instructors will vary every semester. This semester’s topics include playwrighting, long form improv, and audition preparation. In addition, Clark Youth Council will now be an active part of Workshop Hour. The first Saturday of every month Workshop Hour will be time for Youth Council to promote performances, provide viral marketing support and make recommendations about CYT programming.

Cost is $70. Ages 13-18.

Tuesday Home School Drama

Teen Class taught by Tiffany Wright

Classes are designed for home-schooled students ages 8-12 (pre-teen) and 13-18 (teen). Goals: To provide students with an introduction to theatre through individual and group drama experiences. The class culminates in a final presentation that demonstrates the performance skills and talents of the students. Class enrollment is limited to 18.

Tuesdays, September 5-November 14, 9:00 a.m.-11:00 a.m.

Cost is $100. Ages 8-18.

 

Wednesday Home School Drama

Taught by Tiffany Wright

These classes are designed for home-schooled students ages 8-18. Goals: To provide students with an introduction to theatre through individual and group drama experiences. The class culminates in a final presentation that demonstrates the performance skills and talents of the students. Class enrollment is limited to 18. *Age groups are combined on Wednesdays.

Wednesdays, September 6-November 15, 12:30 p.m.-2:30 p.m.

Cost for either class is $100. Ages 8-18.

 

Private Lessons

Clark Youth Theatre now offers private lessons in acting, singing and dancing. All experience levels are welcome, and we have a variety of instructors available.
