Pre-teen Saturday Pass

Purchase a Spring Class Pass for discount enrollment to all Saturday classes offered for pre-teens!

Saturdays, cost is $170. Ages 8-12.

Storybook Series

Taught by Erin Scarberry

Clark’s Storybook Series is now under the direction of Clark Youth Theatre’s Artistic Director! Students use class time to create, rehearse and prep for Storybook Series performances throughout the season. Students can gain performance experience while performing their favorite books on our stage for adoring young theatre-goers! Two public performances per semester, each with unique presentations.

Saturdays, January 19-May 4, 10:00 a.m.–11:30 a.m.

Cost is $70 or Pre-teen Saturday pass. Ages 8-12.

Pre-teen Laughing Matter Improv

Taught by Quinn Blakely

A chance for pre-teens to learn new skills, perform scenes and improv games, and learn basic performance skills.

Saturdays, January 19-May 4, 11:30 a.m.-1:00 p.m.

Cost is $70 or Pre-teen Saturday pass. Ages 8-12.

Pre-Teen Musical Theatre

Taught by Tammy Slack

Cultivate your skills as a vocalist and dancer through musical theatre performance! Students will focus on singing, dancing and acting fundamentals with strong emphasis on vocal and dance techniques. The class will workshop songs from modern and classic musical theatre.

Saturdays, January 19-May 4, 1:30 p.m.-3:00 p.m.

Cost is $70. Ages 8-12.

Teen Saturday Pass

Short Films & Acting for the Camera

Taught by John Cruncleton III & Audie Pritchett

Students will collaborate on the writing and execution of short films. Camera acting techniques will be explored and developed using footage shot and evaluated during class. All materials created may be used by Clark Youth Theatre for television, print and web promotion.

Saturdays, January 19-May 4, 10:00 a.m.-11:30 a.m.

Cost is $50 or Teen Saturday Pass. Ages 13-18.

Teen Laughing Matter Improv

Taught by Erin Scarberry

This class teaches comic improv games to increase creativity, teamwork and performance skills.  There will be at least two public performances held during the semester.

Teen Workshop Hour

Facilitated by Erin Scarberry

Teen artists who wish to take a more in-depth approach to their theatrical studies are invited to participate in Clark’s Teen Workshop Hour. Course content and instructors vary every semester. This semester’s topics include College auditions, pantomime and movement, technical theatre, and our Spring Professional Panels, in which Clark invites industry professionals for a question and answer forum with students. In addition, Clark Youth Council is an active part of Workshop Hour. The first Saturday of every month Workshop Hour will be time for Youth Council to promote performances, provide viral marketing support and make recommendations about CYT programming.

Cost is $70. Ages 13-18.

Home School Classes at Clark Youth Theatre

Tuesday Home School Drama

Taught by Tammy Slack

Classes are designed for home-schooled students ages 8-18. Goals: To provide students with an introduction to theatre through individual and group drama experiences. The class culminates in a final presentation that demonstrates the performance skills and talents of the students. Class enrollment is limited to 18. If enrollment exceeds 18, the class will be divided by age into pre-teen and teen groups.

Tuesdays, January 15-April 23, 9:00 a.m.-11:00 a.m.

Cost is $120. Ages 8-18.

Wednesday Pre-Teen Home School Drama

These classes are designed for home-schooled students ages 8-18. Goals: To provide students with an introduction to theatre through individual and group drama experiences. The class culminates in a final presentation that demonstrates the performance skills and talents of the students. Class enrollment is limited to 18.

Wednesdays, January 16-April 24, 10:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m.

Cost for either class is $120. Ages 8-12.

Wednesday Teen Home School Drama
